My 50 cc scooter's dead?

My 50 cc scooter wont start. i purchased a new battery and spark plug, but still no sign of life.

horn doesnt honk, lights wont go on. i tried kick starting it and still no luck. kill switch is also on. please let me know if theres a website in which i can download a manual or perhaps someone has the answers to this nightmare. thanks in advance

  1. It is obviously electrical.

    Check your battery cables. Trace the cables from the battery to the other end and make sure they are connected and clean.

    Check for an inline fuse somewhere. Under the seat or under a sidecover or something. When you find it check to see if it is blown.


  2. It would be helpful to know Year, Make, and, Model, but that hasn't stopped me yet. No electrical at all? Somewhere close to the battery is an in line fuse, check that fuse. If it's blown, go buy half a dozen of the same size fuse, and replace the fuse. If the replacement blows right off the bat, you have a short somewhere-find it-correct it. If it doesn't blow consider yourself lucky.
