My 5th grader has a report due Monday on Arizona, state report?

I must admit, normally he loves work, this he hates, ..He has actually found some fun stuff to play with on the internet such as the periodic table song!! ( a must for later I guess).. But I need some real moms who have been through this to help me keep him focussed and finish this thing up.. He's got a start, and I know he will get done, but not without my getting mad...

Break it up in to chunks. Have him set goals for himself each day between now and next Monday.

If it's allowed, try researching fun stuff about Arizona.  Maybe sports (if he's into those).  Or games that have been created in Arizona.  Or theme parks, etc.

Maybe you could tell him to pretend he was going to move there, and he has to find out about the place before moving.  What would he want to know?  (Make suggestions).  Housing, bugs, weather for swimming, and so on.

I don't know.  Hope this helps.  Maybe you can find some cool pictures on the Internet that will peak his interest?????
