My 6 month old does not want to nap...help!?

  1. I know how you feel. I have gone through that phase TWICE. With my boys, they have to feel tired then they'll nap. So, have some play time (peekaboo, tickles, etc.) or take him/her out or read a book, do an activity that requires him/her to use some of their energy then give them a warm bath. After the bath, dress him/her in comfy clothes and put him/her to sleep. What I usually do is that, I would put him on my bed(pillows around him), close my eyes and take a short nap too. Once they are used to this routine, they'll know what comes after the warm bath.

  2. some just don't.  My friends have a 2 yr old and she never naps.

  3. children are all different, my daughter is 4 and refuses to nap...she only sleeps when she wants too.
