He says the hole in his p***s is down toward the shaft. It basically isnt right in the middle of his p***s. he said that a lot of times it will be fine, and others they have to do surgery to fix it. anyone know what this is called or have gone through it?

  1. When the hole is on the top or the bottom it can make it tricky for the kid to pee.

I have one kid with the hole toward the top---instead of just at the end. His original pediatrician didn't have an issue with it and when we moved the new ped. thought the kid should have reconstructive surgery---we checked it out and decided to skip the surgery on a toddler.

Now the only issue is that he has to be careful when he pees. If he sits on the toliet he has to make sure he is pointed down or he'll accidentally pee out through the gap between the seat and the bowl.

I don't know how having the hole on the underside would effect him, but I would guess it is easier than on the top.

I would want to make sure everything in there was working properly and if the hole placement would create future problems. For our son the placement just meant a cosmetic difference and having to pay attention when going potty, so we didn't have surgery done.

    Good luck!

  2. His  uretha was just did not line up with the hole you pee-pee through. You left the doctor's office withput a good understanding make sure you understand how to take care of it from the doctor before you leave so you won't have no trouble keeping it clean if it leaks pus.Follow the doctors orders and ask the dr. more questions than yahoo, this is something he can tell right in his office.

  3. Hypospadias.  There are different degrees.

The wiki article is pretty good:
