  1. It can be. My daughter is now 12 weeks and she didn't want to sleep through the day. She still doesn't most days. It could be a growing spurt or he may just want to be near you. I wrap mine and put her down when i see her getting sleepy and if she wakes up and has a bit of a whinge i let her go for a little and she will usually go back to sleep. Dont let her cry long though. Mine sleeps through most nights but its still such a long and tiring day so i feel for you. I hope he gets back to his naps soon.

If your worried and it goes on every day for awhile then give pediatrician a call.

  2. When I had my first daughter, I went to a local "sleep school" for my baby.  The best piece of advice that I was given, was that I had one hour in which to change my baby, feed it, burp it and get it back to bed.  This helped to establish a routine and baby would often sleep for 2 or three hours and then wake for her next feed.  I thought that after I fed my little girl I should then play with it for a while.  Turned out this was over stimulating her and she would not sleep well.  Give this a try.  It may work, it may not.....every kid's different

  3. my daughter did the same thing. as long as she is getting plenty of sleep in the night i would not worry

  4. Yes it can be normal has my friend has 2 little girls and they both started staying awake more during the day and sleeping through out the night at 4 weeks old. I would think of it has a good thing if he is only sleeping an hour during the day unless he don't sleep at night either.
