My 6 year old makes fun of people?

my son makes fun of anybody and everybody, and it drives me up the wall. he doesn't laugh and point at absurdities or anything, but he mocks and mimics what people say. he doesn't do it in front of me so much anymore, but his teacher told me he does it quite frequently in class, when i asked her. it doesn't bother her, but i don't like him behaving like this. any suggestions?

If this isn't stopped in childhood, he'll grow up to

Sit him down and explain this to him,

if he still does it, take away his favorite toys and things to

do

If the above 2 things don't work, give him a spanking.

ummmm.....welcome to the "I have boys" club.  i have two and they both went through that stage.  they grew out of it .  dont worry.

set some discipline  rules because that is wrong for a 6 year old to make fun of people. teach him while hes young otherwise this will become a habit when hes an adult. Some discipline rules could be privileges taken away such as video games, tv. Also, he is probably getting this influence from the media so limit what he watches. Hope it helps

Ask him how he would like it if someone made fun of him. Ask a few of your friends or older children that you know to mimic him - see how he likes and he may stop.   Make sure the children you ask to do it will stop when you tell them to[ IE older cousins or neighbors].
