My 65 mustang wont start it makes a buzzing sound when trying to start ?

but doesn't start when i try to jump it? I have a straight 6 cyl stock everything automatic help me

If your battery cables are corroded clean and try again.If that does not work ,have the battery load tested,it may be bad.If the battery is good ,you probably need a starter.

Have the starter solenoid checked.

Clean or replace all your connections, from the battery to the solenoid to the starter. That should do it.

Sounds like your starter needs a new Bendix gear.
