My 6yo son wants to breakdance?

Question

what are some good breakdancing songs to start him with?

i was a dancer my whole life, so i can teach him some moves, but what would be the best stuff for him to learn/where should i start with him?

Agree with the poster about capoeira class. Ive studied for three years now. When i was your sons age i was taking karate and then gymnastics. Thats a very similar way to describe capoeira. Its definately hard to find but if you are near brazilian communities you will find it, also its very popular in japan, israel and england. I am currently searching for a teacher in my area to lead this class at my studio. Capoeira is an amazing form. It will definately hold your sons attention.

Start off by teaching the wave. But try and just give him instrumental beats then regular songs

trust me, as a 13 year old, i can tell you most obsessions probably wont last too long. throw some need for speed game from his friend at him and he might just obsess over cars.

Well since many young boys want to dance without making losing their masculinity, you should try to sign him up for a Capoeira class.  Capoeira is a brazilian martial art and is the best workout and where breakdancing originated from.  Its not available in every state, but hopefully it is in yours!
