My daughter says she dreamed about my late friend that she never met. She said he asked her name & asked her how her mom was. I find it kind weird cause I found out he had died when he came to me in a dream & his face was messed up & I looked his name up online & came across his obit from a few months before. We had lost touch. So why did he visit my daughter in a dream cause he never met her. He only knew me & my son so why didn't he come to us in a dream do you think he wanted to meet her?

  1. your friend may have been attempting to contact you. but your daughter must have picked it up.

  2. Spirits communicate in dreams, sometimes they just show up doing weird things or play out wierd situations, or give you information...He probably was trying his hardest to communicate with you but you ignored him, he must have found the easiest way to get the message through to you through your daughter. Now that he reached you maybe you'll listen if he has more to say.

  3. How do you know it was your late friend? Are you just guessing at his identity, or did your daughter give you a name and description of the person she dreamed of? Could it be that she simply dreamed about a man, and you added the details to make the dream about your late friend?

I am sure it is, as was yours, just a dream. Your daughter probably overheard information about him.

Of course, she will believe it is real, as she is picking up on your superstitions and beliefs in the improbable. If you believe in ghosts and goblins, your kids will not only believe they will see them, and experience them because they have even more vivid imaginations than you.

  4. How do you know your daughter dreamed of someone she's never met?  How did she convey this information to you?  In the dream did he say, "I'm an old friend of your mother's.  My name is _______"?  I doubt it.  If he didn't then that would require interaction between you and your daughter to find information.  You could have been leading her with your questions.  You could have drawn a conclusion your daughter may not agree with.  It sounds like you want your daughter to have seen this person, so that factors in as well.

I have seen you mention this ONE event where you dreamed of a deceased friend many times on here.  It was a dream.  I hope your belief in the paranormal isn't resting on this single event.

  5. He may of visited her in a dream because she is more receptive to "conversation" or maybe he wanted to meet her  there are quite a lot of reasons. years ago I bought this property and I saw the old lady as a spirit she looked exactually like her son who sold me the property but smaller. My son one night ran into my bedroom looking terrified and told me there a was a "nanny" in his room. He associated nanny woth elderly ladies. All very interesting. I do believe you you. You posted a question or an answer before about your friend and how you looked him up on the internet and he had been killed in a car accident didn't you? I am sorry but you have a connection with this spirit. God bless.

  6. Children tend to be more open to these types of experiences. She might be an Indigo or crystal child.

  7. Maybe he did, or maybe he had tried contacting you but could not,why dont you ask more & if you can, pay him homage at his grave. My experience is that my dad came in my daughter's dream, he said that since she did not go to meet him he had visited- this was after his death & yes my kids had not been to his funeral due to a family problem so i took the kids to his grave. So if this person was a good friend do it as this is the only thing we mortals can do.
