His school called me the other day and we had to go get him cause his temp was almost 103, so I brought him home and gave him motrin and kept him cool, later that day he was up playing video games, and he has been fine since, just a small cough now and them, just was wondering if I should still watch him at all. I have had the flu also and thought maybe Could he catch it back from me?

  1. he could catch the. stay away from your child so he wont get sick

    GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Our School District will not allow us to send our children back to school for 24 hours after they last have a measurable fever without the assistance of fever reducing medication.

Chances are that you both had the same strain of the virus. Once your body is over the infection is has created antibodies for that strain.

  3. u cant get the flu for only one day

  4. Keep an eye on it.....my 7 year old has had the flu (strain B) supposedly the milder strain and her fever has come and gone all week....and the cough got much worse....and then today, after having been sick on and off all week, she threw up after lunch! ARGH.....

  5. dude that has happened to me its the 24 hour flu

  6. keep watch for a few more days but after that he should be fine!

  7. He did not have the flu if he had it for one day.  He had a 24 hour bug...many people have had it.

  8. if he's up and playing that is generally a good sign that he's much better :) try some chewable vitamin C tablets to help build his immune system for the future.

  9. My 5 year old had the same thing. make sure his fever doesn't spike up int he next few days. if it's doesn't he's fine.
