My 7 month old crawls, but his knees look so bad.?

My son learned to crawl early, he is now 7 months old and just cruises around. Which is good, but his knees take such a beating. They are always red, and look almost swollen. He always crawls with pants on as to protect his knees a little bit. But I don't know what else to do. Anyone else's little one in a simular position, and if so, what do you do to help their little knees. I feel so bad for him, cuz they look so sore. Any advice would be much appreciated.

have u tried just like a pair for pants and see if it still happens? it never happened to my daughter she never really crawled not sure why she was always on her tummy when she wanted to but just never crawled sorry i was not more of help..

Maybe you could try knee pads for toddlers. You can get them at walmart in the section where they sell bicycle stuff like helmets and all. Just get the smallest pair they have and put them on over the pants.

You can also buy pants with extra padding in the knees for crawlers. Here is a website with some of these types of pants but you can probably find them at your local department store as well.
