My 7 month old is ignoring us?

My son has been really irritable since Monday and quite blatantly ignoring us. I am having a hard time getting him to look at me when I say his name. He just cut his first tooth and I think the other one is not far behind so I am wondering if he is just not feeling well. Normally, he is the happiest, most social, interactive child you wille ver meet. Anyone else's little one ever go through a phase like this. I know he can hear me when I am trying to get his attention b/c every now and then he will look at me but its like he just wants to play by himself and be left alone right now. Weird!

  1. I don't think he already knows his name....yeah.No baby knows there name at 7 months old!!!my baby brother is getting teeth too! When they get teeth,it feels like somebody is putting painful pressure on his teeth! He's just in pain!I give my brother teething gel and tylanol! It REALLY helps with the baby's pain!

  2. Lol that sounds so cute. But since you just confirmed that he's teething, then most likely he wants to be left alone. I know he's most likely feeling irritated and his mouth is in some pain and to hear someone constantly calling his name and in his face, I'd be irritated too. Just let him be and hopefully once he's done teething he'll be back to his regular self.

  3. My son is 5 months, and he too just cut his first tooth. ANd like your baby he is very happy! very very happy, unless he's hungry and then he's a whole different baby LOL

But my son could be playing on the floor...and I'll be laying down with him and talking to him and saying his name, and I swear he will look right past me, turn his head right past me! Little punk!! He does this when he gets in certain moods..i guess LOL

So it's good to know my son isnt the only one who gets snooty LOL
