Pass the orange...place an orange under your chin...pass it to someone else (their chin) without touchng the orange with your hands once it is under your chin...this continues as long as desired...  if the fruit is dropped you hand it to someone else and lose a turn.

Knee pennies... you need a jar with a regular opening...place a penny (or other coin) between your knees....hop, skip, jump, or walk on tippy toes to the container...the objective is to straddle the container in such a way as to 'drop' the coin into the bottle.

Pin the apple on the pig's snout... similar to the original 'donkey' favorite with the luau theme being to emphasize the traditional apple in the mouth of a pig.

Couples only... one good lei for two good people.  Couple stands back to back with arms interlocked at sides.  A lei is placed around both necks and then they race from point A to point B...without breaking their arm-lock or the lei.  Fastest wins!

Charades based on Hawaiian theme... Palm trees... Pacific waves... conch shells... names of things in a hat...draw one and help others to guess it using hands and gestures.

dang its raining? where u at? theres this cute one my sis in law did for her lil daughters party...get marshmellows the big ones...and have each kid put one in their mouth and say "chubby bunny" with out laughing and who ever dosnt laugh have them put another marshmellow in their mouth and keep repeating it over and over and who ever can fit the most marsh mellows and say chubby bunny with out laughing wins...it funny and cute.........hope it makes sense

have them do each others hair, make up, and tell them they have to make up and perform a talent show of some sort.. teach them how to hula and put on a skit for when the parents come to pick them up.. my sister did that when she was younger and the girls came back and were the spice girls and put on a performance..

Try making a treasure hunt. If you have so much of one thing, then hide them in different locations. You can probably do that in an hour. Then tell the children to find them. Say that whoever finds the most by the end of the treasure hunt, gets a prize. If you can, go out to the store and buy a prize. I know this has nothing to do with a luau party, but they're little kids, they won't know better. Plus, you can put on some music and play freeze dance or something.
