Photos of children are not required until the age of 10, but could this cause a problem when travelling as many countries request that children have their own passports, this option was not offered to us?

  1. If you are already IN Europe, then no...travelling from country to country there now is almost like travelling from state to state in the US, except that the borders are more clearly marked!

  2. It is absolutely fine. He can travel in all countries that maintain relations with Italy (I'm not sure if there are any countries that don't).

It is advisable that he get his own passport if you will travel outside of the EU, because in some countries (like the US), your son will not have to have a visa, whereas you will. However, if he is on your passport, his visa will be the same as your visa.

  3. does he have any other kind of ID ? if so, you can enter the countries in the schengen zone without any problems, just take any ID you have and the passport,  a birth certificate, anything with your passport,

you really do not need a passport, but? just in case?

  4. I had one at that age, but take the case where those social workers from france was going to get those orphans,,,, they were not ophans
