  1. slimcolo is correct.I have a 76 like that and the damb insurance company considers it a custom. Just because of the V.I.N.

  2. What you have is a DMV issued "Blue Tag" for re-registration. The original # will be on the right side of the frame neck, on the down tube. Anywhere else, it's probably a factory part #.

  3. AZ stands for Arizona and the 241832 stands for how many times it broke down since 1973

  4. The AZ241832 is a Arizona state issued builders vin this should be on your title.

The 4759-58 is a Harley part number. (the frame part number in 73 was 47014-73)

Your frame is most likely a pre 66 with no serial numbers.(HD manual puts this in 69 not 66 but I believe this was a misprint)

(HDs Sportster parts manual only lists part numbers for 73-76, and 77 up frames-no part number for 72 and down)

your vin number is now void as Arizona has issued a builders title for this bike, but should still be on motor and should be 4AXXXXXH3 (4A=XLCH, XXXXX= sequential number, H=Harley, 3=last digit of year)
