  1. If your dad still has the coordination and eyesight to drive, then that is great that he can still get himself around.  Some people age differently than others, I mean my husbands grandpa stopped driving when he was 93, he is 96 now.  You need to take your dad down to the dealership and have him sit in it and take a test drive, that is the only real way to tell if it is a good fit for him.

  2. Yes, there is an AWD version, but remember they use more gas.  Unless he lives in an area that he needs the traction a lot of the time, the regular version is better on gas.

  3. Highs: Ride, handling, transmission, interior room.

    Lows: No ESC.

This sibling of the Lincoln MKZ and Mercury Milan is based on the Mazda6 platform. The 2.3-liter engine with the five-speed automatic delivers adequate performance and 23 mpg overall, but it's noisy. The 3.0-liter V6 gets 20 mpg overall and uses a smooth, six-speed automatic. The ride is firm and controlled, and handling is responsive. Ford says it has tightened the wide turning circle. The optional leather seats offer better support than the standard cloth seats do. AWD is available. Side and curtain air bags are standard, but stability control is not available. Reliability has been above average. IIHS crash-test results are impressive.

    Pros:

Everything. There is really nothing about this car not to like. It's comfortable, stylish, has a good balance of power/efficiency (for the V6 AWD), and is just plain fun to drive. The auto climate control is a very nice feature I haven't seen except in more expensive cars. We also never thought we'd enjoy the Siruis satellite radio but will continue the subscription.

    Cons:

Haven't found anything yet - don't expect to either.

    Overall Review:

Excellent mid-sized sedan. If you like a bit of power and don't mind sacrificing a few mpg's, go for the V6. We almost talked ourselves out of buying one after test driving the 4-cyl model. Fortunately, we tried the SEL V6 AWD. The AWD handles well in the snow (almost as good as our 2002 Escape).

My Fusion is the best investment I have ever made and I just love this vehicle. I have plenty of room (more than what it appears from the outside), I still have a sporty looking car that gets great gas milage. My friends love this car as much as I do and they have yet to drive it. This car handles better than any sedan I have ever driven (including the foreign cars) and it still feel's that I am driving my Mustang, just without the power and the rough ride thanks to my Fusions great handling and sporty feel. Ford did a great job on the car and I would recommend that anyone looking for a sedan to go try out a Fusion. I walk out of the dealership financing under 20k with no money down. Real bargain compared to the new Malibu and other sedans out there. Thank you Ford for my awesome vehicle!!!

  4. Personally I don't think a 77 year old should be driving, never mind in a new car.
