Ok, so we know its not just a diaper rash even doctor concluded that. he said he thought it was a yeast infection ( which she had at 6months, he gave her Nystatin Cream it took 2 weeks to go away) But this time, it is more terrible than before. Its been a week since she went to the doctor. we are suppose to apply 2 times daily, we have, we took her because it was actually bleeding. So we used it first 2 days it got better but then it got even more terrible. Called doctor he said to wait it out till medication is gone. I wanted advise on what kind of rash it could be, because it is still bleeding every time I change her diaper, she crys also. has anyone else been through this? She seems to be pooping like 6-7 times per day but they said it wasn't because of that, that it wasn't a diaper rash. I have 3 other kids and never had this happen before. PLz...Advise

  1. I would go back to the doctor.... say the rash isn't getting better...... and her bowel movements are NOT normal.  And tell him to do a few more tests because you just want to make sure it isn't something more serious.  I would think it may be a yeast infection..... or an intenstinal infection.  If it were just a diaper rash.... then I would just continue using the cream and see what happens..... but considering that she is pooping several times a day.... which is probably only making the rash WAY worse....... you need to go back and see if there is something more they can do.   Best of luck to you and baby.

  2. when my son and daughter had this i put it on at every diaper change. i know, i wasnt supposed to but it didnt look comfortable and fortunately it didnt get so bad for them to be bleeding.

if the dr isnt as concerned to say bring her in remember you have the right for a second opinion, so use it and go to another dr.

  3. If her bottoms is bleeding she needs to be seen by her pediatrician.  If the office won't see your child, change to a new pediatrician!

  4. I wouldn't even take the time to find another doctor which your baby needs.  She is in terrible pain you need to take her to the er they are better qualified to diagnose and treat as there are other doctors who will look at her.  Please don't wait.  Good Luck

  5. When i used to work in this day care centre there was a baby there who had a terrible nappy rash, i mean there was all this bubbles of spots n stuff, what we did is always use cotton wool and water to clean her, and use ALOT of sudocrem, and change her nappy every hour. After we did that the nappy rash went away but she had scars :( she used to SCREAM when she was being changed.

I suggest you use alot of sudocrem on her and change her very often also please dont use wet wipes, just water, keep her very clean down there it should go away soon.

EDIT: That baby also pooped like 7-8 times a day, if you are really worried you really need to take her back to the doctors and insist for them to check it out properly.
