My 8 year old did it again in his goodnites

This morning he wakes up n he didnt drop a nasty one but hes playing video game a few minutes later with them still on and he gets this pain in his stomache and he crouches and lets a huge one drop....so now of course i had to change him cause he thinks its too nasty...so now i hes sleeping in the biggest size of huggies i could find and he could fit them comfortable cause he is small for his size....well see what happens tomorrow....by the way i had to bribe him to wear them....now lets see how badly he could stop

If he was my 8 yr old his diaper would be removed and the bottom spanked well. Then there would be a talk and the diapers would be discontinued as soon as he is awake in the morning. I presume he has night time wetting or soiling, which is another problem that you don't punish for.

sounds like he was too busy playing videogames to go potty try making him sit on the toilet first thing in the morning and every half hour or so

he should be up and dressed in pants before playing video games.

with a bathroom visit beforehand too!

as it didn't happen during the night, i would ask if he is doing for attention or deliberatly.

get him into a routine.

wake up. goodnights off

use bathroom

wash or shower

clothes on

breakfast

activities... school, video games etc

he is toilet trained? If not train him
