My 8 year old?

Question

my 8 year old wets the bed from time to time. should i buy her goodnites so it helps her waking up from wet sheets, and how many nights of dry nights in a row should she have before she stops wearing goodnites to bed

no do not let her wear the goodnites because when she have them on she is going to feel it is OK to wet the bed. Let her cont. to wet the bed just put a plastic on the mattress so it does not mess the mattress up. she will grow out of it as time goes on

you can get them for her and nobody needs to know, I had accidents when I was younger and it was due to insecurity.

I rarely wet the bed when I was her age but what helped me was to not drink any thing for about an hour or two before going to bed. It really helps and your not abusing her by not letting her have anything to drink for a few hours. I would mainly wet the bed if I had a lot of coke to drink before going to bed as well as something to drink. Also get into the groove of having her go to the bathroom before she goes to bed

I too had this problem with my 6 year old occassionally. We stopped drinks after dinner and reminded him to go to the bathroom before bed. He still gets a little drink of water at night before bed but we eliminated the problem with these two elements.

If it's only occassionaly I wouldn't have her wear anything special but I would put a protective pad on the matress. If she wets more than a couple times a week then yes I would go with goodnights. I would say use them until she has been dry for a couple weeks in a row.

My son is 8 and wets the bed every night, he's never had a dry night in his life. he wears pull ups to bed and always has. He's been checked atthe doctors and it's just developmental and nothing he can do about it, it's not his fault. Trust me wearing the pull ups do not make them think they can wet...they are alseep for crying out loud, they don't do it on purpose.
