My 8 year old sister is having a hawaiian themed party. i just need ideas for games!?

I'm running the party with help of a few friends, so there will be plenty of non-playing people there to set up games. I'm a little competitive, and one of her friends had the same themed party earlier in the year, so we have to have a really good party, or my sister will have to deal with that little girl telling her over and over that her party was better. :) oh, btw, she is turning 9 and about 10 people were invited. thanks.

Heres a inflatable thats great for a hawaiian themed party, the hawaiian themed bouncy castle is quite rare so you may not find another like this one, this hawaiian themed bouncy castle has near 16ft high inflatable pam trees, its superb for Hawaiian parties. Pass the Coconut

Have everyone sit in a circle. While the Hawaiian music plays the coconut is passed around the circle. When the music is stopped whom ever is left holding the coconut leaves the circle. The last person left wins!

Hula Hoop Contest

There are several contests that can be held using the hula hoop:

Hula hoop endurance- who can go the longest.

Hula hoop obstacle course- set up an obstacle course that you must go through while hula hooping.

Multiple hula hoops - see who can do 3 or more hula hoops for 30 seconds. It is not as easy as it sounds.

Hula Hoop Toss - Place items around the playing field . From a specific spot players take turns tossing a hula hoop around the different items. You can give 1 point for items close by and raise the points the farther away from the toss spot. The first player to 10 wins! Ideas for items to use as targets are: beach pail, flip flops, beach ball, tiki, large shell, pineapple, folded beach towel, beach chair.

Temporary Hawaii Warrior Tattoos

Use black coloured eyeliner and goggle "Hawaii Warrior tattoo's" for ideas on design and give kids their own unique designs.

Lei making

You need some pretty colored craft paper, string and a hole punch. For fillers you can use 2" straws or colored dry maccaroni or curled pipe cleaners. Kids can make their own Lei's. Best Lei wins a prize.

Spear Throwing

See which "warrior" can toss their spear or darts and hit a watermellon target.For a special touch make your watermellon look like a pig with ears, a snout and a curly tail.

Hawaiian Fruit Grab

Buy a bag of plastic fruit at any dollar store and place them in a tub of water. The aim is the same as apple bobbing. All the kids need to line up in two teams. On their turn they run to the tub and pick a piece of fruit using their mouth only. Teams are disqualified if they use their hands. They then run back with the fruit in their mouth and place it in their tribal basket. The game should have a time limit of around a minute. Make sure you have enough fruit for two teams.

Well, since there are a lot pf people to help out, you could get them to play the limbo and when the kids come in the door, have someone there so they can lay those flower necklace things on them(forgot wot they are called). Hope i helped you!
