My 800meter time?

I just graduated from high school and i ran a 2:03 800meter in track. I also ran a 51.8 400meter and I high jump 6'4. These 3 events are my main ones and i am interested in running in college. Can someone tell me what i will run my freshmen year in college and jump??? Im going to a small competitive community college because i got hurt but i ran 2:10 as a freshmen in hs then got hurt and was out my soph and started to come back to normal my junior year running 2:10 and now i ran 2:03. My coach believes i ccould of run sub 2 in hs what do you think??

  1. Sub 2 should be reachable.  You might want to talk to your coach soon, just to get an idea of what you can expect.  For example, if your team has lots of guys who high jump well, you might not get to jump.

    Alternatively, you could be in good position for the decathlon.  You'll do fine in the 400, 1500, and high jump.  The 100 and long jump shouldn't be hard to learn.  That leaves the throwing events (javelin, discus, shot), hurdles, and pole vault.

  2. You should be able to run a sub 2:00.

    It is unusual for someone to h.j. and run the 800.

    The training for each takes away from the other.

    With good training and experience you will do much better.
