My 88 nissan pathfinder wont start. No spark.

Seems to have low or no fuel pressure. have replaced coil and module.

  1. if no spark, besides making shure all the normal maintance is covered.

    like wires, cap, and rotor. you may have a bad coil, or most likely a bad distributor.


  2. check the fuel pump.

  3. Do you hear the fuel pump work when you turn the key to on and not start?  If you can hear the pump run for a while then stop that should mean the pump is working.  The next thing to do is replace the fuel filter.  Be careful when doing this because the line coming from the tank will be under pressure.  Wear eye protection because when you pull the line from the filter fuel will be spraying all over.

    If you don't hear the fuel pump check the fuse.  If the fuse is good you will need a new electric fuel pump.  This would also be a good time to replace the filter.  The original filter was only rated for 30,000 miles.

  4. I think you need a new... CAR?
