My 9.9 outboard RPM's vary at top speed by a couple of hundred rpm's. Does the angle need to be changed?

  1. Put on a larger prop; make sure that in use it is perpendicular in the water.

    Make sure your air filter is clean  (or new).

    Find some one in your area who knows your type of engine, and listen to them carefully.
