My 9 Month Old Baby Girl Has Suddenly Lost Her Voice, And I Don't Know Why! She Doesn't Appear Sick & No Temp.

She Seems Just As Happy As She Always Is, She's All Smiles, Doesn't Really Sound Whezzy Or Anything, Just Scartchy As h**l, Frankly She Sounds Terrible, And It's Scaring The h**l Out Of Me!! What Could Be Causing This & Should I Worry? I Am Making A Doctors Appointment For Her In The Morning, But I Just Wanna Be Sure I Don't Need To Take her To The Emergency Room To Be Safe, Because She Is My Life, So I Don't Wanna Take Any Chances If It's Something Serious! Please Help!

  1. If she otherwise seems well then I would wait for her doctors appointment tomorrow. Has she been shouting or crying a lot recently? We can all lose our voices from time to time if we have used them too much. Give her plenty of fluids to keep her throat moist as the 'scratchyness' may be due to her throat being dry and unless she shows any signs of illness I would wait to see her doctor rather than going to the emergency room. Good luck, I hope shes ok x

  2. yeah

all you should do is go to a doctor asap

  3. i think you shoudnt waste time asking questions, go to a doctor as soon as possible, it  could be a germ.

  4. It is probably nothing to worry about it could be a allergy that she is reacting to or a sinus drainage that is causing her to be scratchy - I know I have lost my voice due to allergies before for 3 weeks - but taking to to the Doctor is a good idea and good luck!
