  1. is your son on solids yet?? maybe you could give him his tea a bit later followed by a bottle of milk.. or maybe a baby massage after his bath might calm him down, also how long does he sleep for in the day, y not try to cut down the length of his sleep so that he will sleep at night.. good luck

  2. it sounds like he could be going through seperation aniexty and is very common in children at that age. also yes he is very excited that he can stand now so he wants to do it all the time but what i would do is when he wakes up give him water for now on not formula cause he might just be thirsty and if so water will do just fine. then with the seperation deal just go pick him up give him a hug and kiss tell him you love him and maybe sing a song then put him back to bed no playing with him and not to much interaction. like lights and stuff. he might cry for a little while but in the end it will be better. good luck

  3. my kid was a non sleeper. sometimes it had to do with his teething. he gave up naps really early. he was just a non sleeper. are you co sleeping? breastfeeding? if you can, cut out a nap during the day. he will sleep better for it.

  4. get this book: "solving your child's sleep problems" by richard ferber as well as this one: "healthy sleep habits, happy child" my marc weissbluth. they will give you all the info you need to help your baby sleep better. these books saved ruby and me. weissbluth gave me the right schedule to encourage her sleping (but he is too harsh about CIO, so ignore those parts) and ferber gave me all the methods for teaching ruby hwo to put herself to sleep and keep herself asleep. i promise, they will save you. get them both! today! (and, btw, at 9 months ruby was waking EVERY. HOUR. ALL. NIGHT. LONG -- just to be rocked. now she goes to bed smiling, without a tear, and sleeps 11 hours straight. she tells me when she wants to nap duing the day and takes full, easy naps. there is help, and it will get better. good luck, momma).

  5. Try keeping him up longer at night before bed. Have some toys in the crib he likes, so when he wakes up it should keep his mind busy.
