  1. Reactions to inoculations are rare but happen. My boy reacted so allergically he and his brother ( who has since gone to cat heaven - sniff) nearly died.

So now Bailey has been a house cat fro 11 years and rules the roost on the window sill!

The Vet is absolutely your best port of call

    Good luck

  2. One of my cats ALWAYS gets upper respiratory infection after his annual vaccinations...the vet has no idea and his only suggestion is that my cat was very sickly when he was young.  He spent his first year of life in and out of shelters until we fostered and adopted him at age 1.

If your cat doesn't get better, go back to the vet.  Your vet can give you vitamins that you can sprinkle on your cat's food to help build up it's immune system.  Other than that, I'm assuming it will need 2 more rounds of shots before it's done.  If the cat gets better, then ill again after the next round of boosters, your vet may recommend not vaccinating as long as it's strictly an in-door cat (which I hope it is.)

  3. Have you tried giving her a different brand of food? The scratching on the floor is an action that they do when they go to the toilet (to cover up their excretions) so it can be a sign that she associates the food with something bad. I think that if cats start to feel ill they can sometimes wrongly associate it with what they've been eating and stop eating that particular food for a while. Still keep an eye on her and tell the vet if she gets any worse but also try changing her food for a little while and seeing if that helps.

  4. You can call your vet's office and tell them what is happening.  I'm sure someone will be happy to help you.

    Good Luck!

  5. take to the vets thats your best option!!!!!!!! xx

  6. If she is not eating anything, you can try the following alternatives:

Offer her kitty treats to get her appetite going.  One of my cats, a female, always runs to her food bowl and eats at least a few bites of food after having a treat of two.

Or, if she will not eat any of whatever kinds of cat food/treats you offer her, try giving her some plain, boiled chicken breast.  As long as you don't put anything on it, it is not bad for her (other than the fact that after that, she may try to steal chicken whenever you cook it for a few months).  Boiled chicken is something none of my cats can resist, it's probably their favorite thing to eat - although that could be because it's the only "people" food they are allowed to have, and then only little bits.

Good luck!  I hope your lady gets better!

  7. It is quite possible that your kitten is having an allergic reaction to the injections. This isn't very common in most pets, but can happen.

As long as she is drinking the kitten milk she should stay healthy, but keep in contact with your vet and keep them up-to-date on what is going on.

All in all, don't worry about her. She will be just fine, you may just have to take her into the vet to get a simple medication that will cure everything.

    Hope this helped

  8. I would suggest having her checked again by your vet. If your cat has an upper respiratory infection (causing the sneezing) her sense of smell may be affected. Often if cats can't smell, they won't eat so that could possibly be causing her to refuse her food. She may also feel unwell and that could also stop her eating.

  9. maybe the kitten wants a different kind of food. if you feed her the wet canned food, try the dry food for kittens.
