  1. The US likes to be friends with other countries, so the country hires special people to live in those countries and explain our opinions to them


  2. To a 9 year old child: us embassy is a place where many people are working, they keep the country and the us citezens safe. They help people in us whatever they ask for. :D

  3. It is an office of the USA in a foreign country.  They do many things as the government representatives.  They help Americans when the need help in that country.

  6. A US Embassy is a government office that assists its citizens who need help in other countries. It also promotes america in that country. It gives permission to people of that country who want to visit the US. Here's a candybar and go play outside.**

LOL...ask him if he realizes that there are Walmarts in different towns....and that they are all controlled by a big Daddy Walmart down here in Bentonville, Arkansas....then tell him that embassies are like the US government version of Walmarts...only the Government only usually puts one in small countries and two to four in big countries....

    And instead of selling food or clothes or CDs....they sell Visa's to people who want to come visit the USA and help out americans that go visit the countries but get in trouble...and sometimes they pass messages from our Government to the other countries Government...

  8. Tell him that it's a place, generally in a foreign capital, where the US sends their representatives. They have several roles. They are there to represent the US, which means that they will try to show what the us thinks. They also those that give the foreign people the right to visit the US (visas). In a case of an emergency they are the ones that will help the US citizen in problem.

  9. It's the building where the ambassadors from the US work in another country.  Where folks from the US can go if they need help.

  10. tell him that it would be like, he went to a summer camp far away, and while over there ?he lost his all his belongings or needed to get back home in an urgency? there would be house there for other boys and girls from his city where they could go, to get help,and talk to someone to help him or any of his friends....

    and if he has any notion? of countries outsides the US ? show him a map, of the world and do the same? if he can understand about traveling outside the US? do the same thing, tell him it is a place where he could go to get help in case?
