Question:

My 91 3000gt vr4 wont start. its not getting fuel to the engine. what could be the problem?

i have replaced the pump, that wasnt it. i cant hear the pump when i turn the key to the on position, but my test light tells me that the pump is getting power. 3000gt's dont have a fuel shut off system either, anyone have any ideas?

  1. ok.  Stealth316.com is your new best friend.  Save that page to your favorites.

    Is it getting spark?  check your plugs wires.  

    ECU going bad is a fairly common problem as well.


  2. get a fuel rail pressure gage and plug it into the fuel rail to see if you're getting fuel at the motor-could be a simple fuel filter that is plugged or you have something in the tank hooked up wrong at the pump itself - I've seen them leak there and not know cause the gas just goes right back in the tank. either way if you're getting power than the only thing left to check is pressure.

  3. Your fuel pump went bad its in the gas tank. Just because it gets power doesnt mean its pumping. Also fuel filter is located under the battery you should have changed it by now anyway and its cheap.
