Question:

My 95 960 is o.k. but a few problems that could b costly-i found a better 96 960/w a blown eng.should i?

rebuild the engine,,,buy a new/used eng.,,,swap my 95 eng. into the 96,,,or swap the heads from the 95 to the 96??? and which is cheaper and or easier???,,,

  1. head work on the white engine can possibly be accomplished by the home mechanic if he has sufficient fabrication skills to make the special tools needed and access and knowledge of how to use the special sealant[s] that are required.

    this being said i would purchase a low mileage engine from a salvage yard, keep the older car for a while and swap parts back and forth so you have the best of both cars in the new one and the old car is still sale-able then unload it.

    .changing out the complete engine is your easiest bet, if you disable your old car doing it it will no longer beworth anything [if you sell it outright the cost of a used engine for the "new" car will be erased ]
