  1. well buzzy ...i think you got a lot more issues than u may be ready to take on.....you have an interference engine and chances are you have bent valves.....better check that before you spend lots of money and time correcting the timing belt problem

  2. I taught my wife how to fix our honda timing belt.  Its pretty easy,  The first pass took about 10 hours and then we were off by a notch so I had to take it back apart, two hours from time we touched it to the time it was back together the second pass.  The center sprocket  with the spring on it is the tensioner.  Sounds like you need a new one.  The tensioner is the  most expensive, cost over $60.  The belt in the $30's.  You get TDC by doing a series of things.  The timing mark has to be right on the crank, the distributor has to be pointing to #1 and the mark on the cam has to be in the correct position.  One way to get the correct timing is to take the spark plug out of #1 and slowly turn the motor over(by hand) and see if you get compression when #1 piston is coming up in the compression stroke.  If it is, then the mark on the cam will be at 12O'clock, the timing mark on the crank will be right and the distributor will be pointing to #1, work from there.

  3. Set the piece of c**p on fire and steal a new car. OR you can give it back to Terry since he wanted it back so bad. Here you go, a$$hole!

  4. Well the good thing is your engine is a non-interference engine, so you problably don't have any internal damage to your engine from the timing belt breaking.

Like someone said you really need the a chilton repair manual. Go to any auto parts store and you should be able to get one.

Or if you -really- don't want to do that. go to autozone.com and they have repair info on there.

Or you could even go to autozone and theyll look up the repair info for you. Another thing you want to consider is that you not only want to replace the timing belt, but the belt tensioners and a few other parts.

    good luck.

  5. Are you seriously trying to fix it w/o a repair manual? Every question you asked is in the manual.

  6. Good thing u Caught it before you screwed the engine over..... Goodluck
