i would just be driving, not doing anything in particular and it just cuts off on me, if i react fast enough and slightly turn my key the power will kick back on. Today it got real bad, and i had to keep my key slightly turned for most of the drive back home. Is it my ignition? If it is, should i just replace it or try to repair it?

  1. this is an easy one, i worked for team honda (a honda dealership) and the ignition is definitely bad, you wont be able to have a locksmith come out and replace it because it is whole assembly, all the locksmith can replace is the key cylinder. if you are mechanically inclined then you can replace it yourself, just buy and ignition assembly from the dealership and start pulling it off the replace it. call the parts department and they will know and tell you exactly what you will need to repair. it is a common problem

  2. I never had that problem with my Civic. But yes it might be the ignition. Take it to your nearest Honda dealership and have them take a look at the service dept. just to be sure.

  3. if its you ignition just replace it

  4. Those cars are known for the distributors bad, but it def sounds like an ignition. Any locksmith can come replace it rather than a garage
