  1. Okay, you have the 7.3L, the goood one.

It could be anything.  You didn't provide much info on to what it was doing prior and/or repairs etc.

Does the wait to start light work?  How long does it say on?  Does it say on a long time or short?  If short, could mean some of the glow plugs are out, and the controler is not keeping them on long enough.

If it's the glow plugs.... try plugging the block warmer for the truck in.  (If you have one).  If you do, plug it in for 1 hour and try to start.  If it starts, then its a glow plug related issue.

Make sure your batteries are 100% charged BOTH of them.  Also, cranking speed is important. You might "think" the engine is turning over fast enough, but it may not.  It could be the batteries and/or starter.

If all else fails, try the website below.  Lots of info there (site use to be called Forddiesel, but ford wanted the URL.... it's dedicated to Ford diesels).

    Hope this helps.

  2. There are many possibilities that will cause a no-start scenario for this vehicle.

-Low ICP pressure -------> injector o-ring(s), high pressure oil pump, IPR valve, and high pressure oil lines.

-no RPM signal------------> failed CMP sensor (Ford recall 07S57) or CMP circuit.

-not enough battery voltage-> failed batteries, excessive amperage draw from starter. MINIMUM engine cranking RPM should be 200 RPM, and battery voltage decrease to no less than 9.5 volts while cranking.

-bad glow plug(s) or glow plug system circuit will cause a HARD start but not a no-start.

    HOPE THIS HELPS.

  3. injector pump? is there fuel in it?

  4. change the fuel filter and air filter too and add a water remover product to the tank

you must have a light on the dash indicating water but if you run the engine for a long period ignoring the light maybe you have a true problem there

also check the status of the passenger side battery terminal, because there is the cable that power up the glow plug module
