My 9th day on my period. whats wrong?

i just read an answer to someone elses, i hope its not cervical cancer. yaz is suppose to help prevent that too. whats up with this yaz. i had s*x, now im bleeding like crazy. no it wasnt my first time. but i should have gotten my period within the next two weeks. not a week after i got off. so basically ive been on most of the month. this is screwed up. is it the yaz?

that is absolutely normal to have your period for 9 days.

you haven't gotten your period for longer because of s*x.

just sometimes it goes for a bit longer than expected and it sometimes comes a couple of weeks earlier.

I dont think you have anything to worry about.

You didn't say how long you have been on Yaz. Menstrual irregularities are fairly common if you are just starting birth control. It takes awhile for your body to adjust. If you have been on it for more than 3 months, then you need to contact your doctor. The level of hormones may not be working out for you. The doctor can help you find a pill that works. Good luck.

For even the first year of being on a new birth control, you can have unexplained spotting and bleeding.
