  1. I am guessing it is interference from the wireless headphones they are wearing at the drive thru or something to do with that. Ask the manager next time maybe they can tell you why, or email one of the places customer service and see what they say.

  2. Get a FM radio

  3. Dine-in! :-}

  4. The neon and florescent lights and the electronics they use all generate noise. AM Radio stands for Amplitude Modulation. Noise is also amplitude so interferes with the AM band. That's why they started going to FM in cars way back in the 1960's. FM is Frequency Modulation and the sound produces changes in the frequency rather than the amplitude of the signal. In FM radio, amplitude variations are suppressed so no noise gets through.

  5. you cant it is interference from the electricity in the building.  and why do you still listen to AM radio switch to FM or better yet Satellite Radio.

  6. That is normal on AM.

    You can't fix it. Unless you get the drive thru roof removed.

    Good luck....

  7. AM has lower frequency and easier to be influenced by other frequencies, such as the wireless headphones used in most of the fastfood drivethru.
