  1. You could have a bad wheel sensor that sends a signal to the computer for ABS braking.  It also could be the ABS module it self.  In any rate a scanner must be used to find the issue, unless the mechanic is lucky and there is an obvious broken wire or issue.

It means that there is a malfunction in your anti-lock brake system. your abs is shutoff by your computer until the repair is made. you have regular brakes until the repair is made. usually it is metal shavings from your brakes that covers the sensors which in a lot of cases are magnetic and attract the metal shavings. go to a shop have the code pulled and an estimate given to you for repair.

  3. Get your car to a mechaninc and get him to check your brakes, might be time to replace some parts.

  4. It means there is a problem in your anti-lock braking system that needs to be addressed and fixed.  It means if you should happen to do a panic stop, instead of stopping in a straight line, there is a chance you would spin out and wreck.  Get it fixed.
