  1. We had that same exact problem. Let me guess, it's not cooling either it's just running inside all the time.  It turned out that a LOT of bugs had gotten into part of it and had eaten away the wires and corroded what was left of them.  It needed a new...something.  (I'm not technically savvy but my brother's education is in air conditioning, refrigerating and heating so he looked at it).  It's either that or somehow not getting power to the unit outside, like a short.  Call the landlord or a repairman.  It won't get fixed by itself.

  2. how am i sposed to no

  3. un plug it then see or call some one.

  4. Is the fan part in the auto or on position

  5. Ah, we just had the same thing happen to us.

This is central air unit right?

Ok, well, first things first, turn it off through your circuit breaker.

Then, clean your filter if it is a washable one, if not, get a new one.

Keep the a/c unit off for about 5 mins to reset itself.

Turn it back on, and it should work.

Apparently this is common and the filter is dirty causing the a/c unit to constantly run.  Don't know why?  But this is what I was told, and we did it and now it runs perfectly.

We clean our filter once a month, usually when the mortgage is due.

    Good reminder.....lol

    :-)

  6. un plug it
