My AC unit won't come on.....?

Thermostat read low battery so I changed battery and also changed fuse just in case. I did the breaker thing and nothing. My thermostat reads 89 in the house.....I live alone and I don't want to die alone of heat stroke! PLEEEAAASSSEE HELP.....Before I call the big guys.....

  1. Perhaps you have to reprogram your t-stat because the batteries were out of it. No guarantees but...might be worth a try.


  2. Open up your air con and check the any LED lights on as this will indicate whether the unit itself is faulty not.

  3. You have done all that you can do.  Call your local heating/cooling company.  Most companies offer 24 hour emergency service.

  4. first go outside and make sure the disconnect is in all the way then at the thermostat make sure you have it on cool and if that doesn't work you will need to call an HVAC tech because it can be low on freon
