Taking his time with getting me prossessed. I am taking the ASVAB tomorrow but it may be several more weeks before go to MEPS. I've heard of alot of Sailors say their Navy Recruiters rushed them. Is it a good or bad thing that my AF recruiter is not rushing?

Personal expeirance from Airmen would defintly help, but feel free if you are from other branches to answer as well.

  1. Well my boyfriend waited almost 6 months to be processed for the marines, sometimes recruiters are lazy asses.

  2. Depends on how many applicants he has for this month. The goals are monthly and we are almost middle of the month so if he already met goal he's in no hurry. If they rush you it's usually because the end of the month is near and goal isn't met yet.

  3. Don't be in a hurry.  Before you sign any papers make sure you have had all of your questions answered. The recruiters are there not to rush you into the military, they are soppose to help you. Best of luck to you and thanks for defending our country.

  4. "it may be several more weeks before go to MEPS"

Why are you tripping over something that hasn't not happened yet?  (double negative on purpose).

Have you told your recruiter that you are desperate to come in and that you will take the first job that comes along, not matter what it is?

See what happens after you take the ASVAB.

  5. the asvab will tell him if your a f*ckin moron or not, once and if you pass it, then he will start the rush BS

  6. Honestly, if a recruiter takes his time I would feel a lot better.  I had a great recruiter who made sure I received all the info I possibly could.  I feel when they are rushing you they could be misleading you.  Do your homework as well, but to me it sounds like you have a good recruiter.

The monthly quota thing could be true as well.
