Question:

My AP scores still haven't come?!?!?!?!

I was just wondering if anyone still hasn't gotten their AP scores? I called the college board and they said I didn't fill in my birthday or something ridiculous like that...I didn't ask what the actual reason was for my scores being 3 weeks late. I've now been waiting almost 3 weeks (since my call), when they said it would only take 2 weeks. I'm going to try calling them again on monday because I am extremely annoyed with them. But, I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same position or has any advice (I am very close to just calling and paying the $8 for them). By the way, I live in Washington.

  1. I had the same problem as you and called them. They told me that I didn't fill in my address correctly--certainly, a rediculous reason. Plus, my AP teacher received my scores before me. The man told me that scores take UP TO 1 week. However, I told them that I need to know right away in order for me to schedule college classes. The 'customer service' people KNOW your scores because while they are talking to you, your profile is on their computer database. DO NOT call the 'check-your-grade' by phone by paying $8. For the amount of money that you spent taking the tests, that's rediculous; plus, it's their fault--not yours--for making up outlandish excuses and for making you wait without their notifying you NOR your highschool AP teacher. This is what I did, and I DID receive my scores without paying the $8.00:

    1) call the hot-line, press 0, talk to a customer service rep in the testing department.

    2) tell the person that your situation; get his/her name; and agent #.

    3) tell them your situation. Say that you need to schedule classes based off of your score(s) on the exam. Sound very urgent, and express your dissapointment in the testing service.

    4) IMPORTANT: the reps are NOT allowed to tell you your grade because it is against their policy; however, you can ask them whether you earned high enough to receive college credit. *The key here is to let them know that depending on the number (i.e. 3,4, or 5), you will get placed in a corresponding class, SO dictate: "is it a 3?" And get the person to say either 'yes' or 'no. This is an indirect way of getting the person to tell you your scores. They will be extremely hesitant, but theoretically they are not TELLING you your scores in a direct manner. Keep using this tactic till you find our your AP score number(s). Don't take no for an answer. They did this for me, so you should get your scores in this fashion.

    Hope you have luck!! :)

  2. Mine haven't come in either. I called College board and some lady talked to me and was really confused like she had no idea what she was doing so I am going to call back Monday. All my friends got theirs and I am very annoyed i haven't gotten mine yet.

    Hope you get them soon!

  3. Mine haven't come yet. All my friends have gotten theirs. Unfortunately, I do not have my AP number so I cannot call for them. I don't know why they are late, but my AP Lit one was sent to my teacher, so I got it from him. If you contact your teachers, they can give you your scores. I am from Minnesota by the way.
