My AVG Free isn't updating properly?

My AVG Free internet security won't update, it keeps saying

"A.bin file is missing"

What does this mean and how can I get it to update properly?

i think AVG has stopped the free antivirus protection at the end of july or so, maybe u dont have it anymore

Don't worry, it's a problem on the AVG site.They are working on it and it will be fixed soon. We are all having the same problem.

Just wait and be patient because AVG is doing maintenance for today to fix a bug about updating and Email scanner problem. This happened last week also. It took them a day to fix everything. Uninstalling and re installing won't solve the problem. Try if you wish, Its only a waste of time. Even repair won't do it.

The bin file is the file which deals with the update file, should not be missing so reinstall
