Question:

My AVG keeps picking up something that i think is pretending to be a cookie, but it's reacurring?

Some of the cookie that it's picked up and are in my virus vault, although i emptied my vault recently there is a lot more, they keep coming back, i am unable to heal them, i believe they must be harmfull otherwise why would they be made reacurring and why would AVG pick up a cookie otherwise, i contacted AVG about it and had no reply And ideas?

  1. At first, it sounded like a harmless cookie to me since almost everytime you go to a website, you get a cookie. Therefore, even if you deleted the cookie using AVG, the cookies will keep coming back when you go online.

    However I searched google and saw that Euroclick and Yieldmanager are probably trojan horses (which are similar to viruses). You can get info on Euroclick by going to the following link. Then look at the 2nd and 3rd links for ways to remove Euroclick.

    I recently had a major problem with a trojan horse. AVG was not very helpful, so I switched to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, which you can get for free from download.com or PCWorld.com. Other good antivirus programs are BitDefender, ClamAV, F-Prot, F-Secure, Avast, Kaspersky, McAfee, Symantec, and Trend Micro.
