My Adonis to aim at the Jackpot at Delta Downs for George and Lori Hall
The 2-year-old colt My Adonis, managed to break is maiden in his third attempt would like to build on the winning performance by winning the $200,000 Jean Lafitte Stakes on 22 October, 2011.

The son Pleasantly Perfect, out of Silent Justice by Elusive Quality, participated in his first maiden special weight race to kick start his debut season, but couldn’t do so as he finished second behind Scallion at Monmouth Park at about five and a half furlongs under jockey E Trujillo.
His second attempt also came at Monmouth Park, but this time the distance was stretched out to a mile, but the result of the race for My Adonis was the same. This time around he finished second behind Sabercat on 5 September, 2011, with the winning time of 1 minute and 39.78 seconds.
Staying at Monmouth Park, George and Lori Hall gave My Adonis a third shot at the maiden special weight and this time stretching put this distance even more 1 mile and 70 yards.
Third time lucky, My Adonis relished the opportunity under his regular jockey E Trujillo on 24 September, 2011, in the process defeating Tritap and Burned Bridges, who finished second and third respectively with the winning time of 1 minute and 42.51 seconds.
The Halls and Breen won this year’s Belmont Stakes with their 3-year-old colt Ruler on Ice, but they’ve been trying their luck in the million dollar race, Jackpot, for quite some time now.
They have tried their luck with the likes of West Side Bernie who participated in the 2008 edition of the Jackpot, but finished second behind Big Drama, and in 2010 they sent out Sweet Ducky to win them the massive purse.
The runner finished 4th behind the winner Gourmet Dinner, but My Adonis could be the one they’ve been looking for since he managed a 86 Beyer Figure in his maiden breaker on 24 September.
