My African grey parrots nail is bleeding what should i do as to stop the bleeding?

my african grey nail is bleeding and im not sure how to stop the bleeding as it is bleeding quite heavily its literally dripping we've got a towel pressed against the nail to minimillise the bleed what further should i do?

  1. How did it start bleeding? If it just started bleeding for no reason then it's weird if it bumped into something or you were cutting it's nails just go to a vet.


  2. There is a powder that you can buy or u can also use regular flour but i recomend buying the powder from the pet store it works better and quicker

  3. You can also use cinnamon to stop the bleeding. If it continues to bleed after you have tried cinnamon, flour, or the styptic powder take him to the vet immediately! You may have cut into the quick which is the bundle of nerves & blood vessels that runs through the center of their nails and can cause permanent nerve damage =(.
