My Aloe Vera Is Dying What Can I Do To Help?

Ok the root of my plant starts turning very pale, then the lower leaves go soft and dry/shrivel up. In the end the whole plant leans and falls over. The top of the plant still seems health, while the bottom rots and then eventally breaks. Can i replant the broken bit. I use a terrcotter waterer. It all started when my step-mum repotted it, i think the new soil might be whats killing it. Anyway help would be great.

oh one last question on the only remaining living plant should i cut off the brown sriveled leaves and prob it up using a stick or just let it lay and try again with a new aloe. keep plants away from step-mum's!

  1. Actually aloe is a very interesting plant as it really does not die. it is quite normal for the bottom nodes to die off just remove them and add more soil to the pot to get to stand upright. as for the soil issue go to any garden center and ask for a potting mix made for cactus and succulents. Worst case scenario break off one of the good leaves and let it dry for 15 days then plant that you will have a new plant in no time
