Could be that the transmitter's on reduced power and the signal isn't strong enough if you're using an indoor aerial.

They do that sometimes for the safety of maintenance engineers - it's happening quite a bit off and on while they work on the masts in preparation for digital.

Same i'm in birmingham and i have to take my aerial out and put it back in again... very annoying

it happens with me sometimes all you need to do is wait a few days and it should come back, some areas dont have very good reception and sometimes break off some channels, that could be your promblem
