My Best Friends Parents Hate Me?

I am 13, and my best friends parents hate me. They say I am a bad influence yet I don't do anything bad. I am so depressed, his parents just started hating me for no reason. We are going to a new school, and his mom wants to walk with him to school.

This is what you do..go to their house and ask them why they dont like you to be friends with their son and why they dont like you...Tell them you want to be friends with  their son but want them to like you and not get mad if he hangs out with you.Maybe your friend has been blaming you for his bad behavior  or his parents are. How do you dress ?  are you dressing in a gansta style ? it may offend the parents sorry to say.Do you get good grades in school ? Did you have a bad reputation at your old school ?

Maybe you should calmly and politely ask them why they seem to not like you. Tell them you're sorry they think you're a bad influence but you're really not.  Be sure to be polite and calm when you do this, don't yell! it'll just give them a reason to not like you!

OMg I know exactly what you are going through.

Like my friend Melissas mom just started hating me for no reason..and whenever I would go over to her house it was SO incredibly awkward. Like you have no idea.

Maybe his parents are just over protective... It really hurt my feelings because I know for a fact that I am not a bad influence.

I would suggest you just start acting all happy and chipper and innocent around his parents.

Or like if you wear a lot of black that may be it...that was apparently the reason I was hated.

Parents suck... I hate parents. Lol

Don't worry too much about it. If you are innocent and haven't influenced their kid in a bad way then they will soon forget about it and move on. But if you have... then don't expect them to ever like you. You can change their mind by being there for your friend such as: calling when they are sick and asking if they are ok. Maybe even ask if you can do homework together in front of his parents. Thats a good way to suck up.

ummm i have the porblem but in reverse... and shes my girlfriend... i just told my parents to f*** off and leave us alone... but i am a bit older so dont do that... just try to ignore them as much as possible or try and have a chat with them- say u want to change to be a better person and you want their advice (if they cant answer then u know theyre just being idiots).

if not man up and ask them in a sophisticated way what you did wrong.

if they're normal, they're tell you straight out.

it sounds like he did something and blamed you for it and as result of that his parents thinks your a bad influence, have your mom as what the problem is so you will know how to deal with it, that's what I did when I had the same problem when I was a kid.

man that is a tough one. Does your friend not have any explnantion for this change of heart in his parents. If you cant resolve this maybe you would be better off to move on and make a new friend. I know that is real hard to do and no body likes for things to change but what else can you do? Best wishes and good luck to you.

i know how you feel this girl that goes to my church with me is one of my best friends. and her parents don't like me because me and her sit together all the time and we never sit with them. So now her parents just will not let me around her that much and now they switched churches for awhile. and i am 14

i think its stupid that ur mates mom or dad wants to walk there child to a secondary school in the morning. a kid his age is supposed to have a litle bit of freedom an responsability.

i had the same problem except reversed! Try to think back about anything  you might have done to offend his parents or if you've done anything to wild for his parents, you never know people's minds work in weird ways.

Hmmm. Sounds like the mother is a demon. You are just 13, and even if you are a bad influence, it is good to experiment to see who you want to be in the future. This behavior ensures that you will grow as an individual. Don't worry about his mom. Try getting a new friend and slowly pull away from your best friend until the mom "cools" down.
