My Bf snorts while he eats!?

Question

He has little appetite unless he has been drinking. He finds it hard to eat food. He used to wolf his food down. Now he can barely bring himself to eat. He also snorts when he's eating. He says he can't breath. He's getting very annoyed over this. Any ideas what might be wrong with him? No smart *** answers please, only genuine ones:) Thanks!!

There may be a sinus infection or something  blocking his sinus cavity which would make it difficult to breath through his nose.  This would especially cause problems while eating because normally he'd breath through his mouth but can't while eating.  This is a dangerous situation in more ways than one.  He needs to see a doctor ASAP to find out what's wrong.  The danger not only lies in the fact that he may have an infection going untreated or some other issue equally needing attention, but it could cause breathing problems while sleeping as well -- not just eating.  He may become subject to sleep apnea because of the difficulty he has breathing out of his nose and that can be deadly.  Please convince him to see a doctor as soon as possible.

I agree with the first reply. He sounds like he may have some airway obstruction. It sounds like this is interfering with his daily life and at this point it would be a good idea to see a physician. They will probably refer him to an ENT doc. Good Luck!
