Im only 18 and have had her since i was 14.

My beloved parakeet named Lydia who I have owned for $ years now and was the most amazing smart and sweet social bird died yesterday out of the blue .

Totally unexpected and the bird was sick for three days but I was hoping she would get better on her own but when i woke up yesterday morning she was in real bad shape couldnt walk and the half of her body where her wing was bothering her was like paralized and seemed like her body was slowly shutting down.

I took her over to the petsmart near me where I coincidentally got her from originally and i had to wait for the bird vet but by the time the vet came at !! my bird had already passed at 10:15 so I asked if they could properly take care of the body and bury her with her toy for me and I have been devestated ever since I was balling yesterday I am better today but now thats the second bird since that has died what do i do and how do I deal with it properly

  2. I head the same problem as you .

when I was younger my parakeet died and I head him for

12 years. he was my best pet buddy.

It is really hard to  forget.

but just keep going and live your life.

maybe in few days buy another parakeet that looks exactly like your old parakeet  or try a different pet.

fish, hamster maybe a dog or a cat.

it is best for you to get another pet that will make you forget faster about your parakeet

I hope this will help a little!!
