My Blue Gourami is black from second dot to tail. what is wrong?

  1. As well as changing their colour/markings under high stress situations, Blue Gouramis may also fade when their water conditions are poor or they are getting geratriac.


  2. Gouramis change colors with their moods. If there is another Gourami with him he could be displaying teritorrial colors, or if it is a female with him it could be mating colors. If he is by himself he could be stressed, or very happy. It is hard to say why your gourami is changing colors, but unless he is showing other signs of being stressed such as breathing hard or odd behavior like jumping out of the water, or swimming strange like to the side. I would say he is fine.
