A little bit ago he bit me for the first time, but quickly released my finger 1 - 2 seconds after he bit down. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. Well... it didn't really hurt at all since he's just a baby; it just kinda spooked me since I wasn't looking at the time.

Why do you think he did this? A few minutes before he was just chilling on my shoulder and falling asleep in my lap. I tried putting him in his cage but he quickly turns to try and crawl up my wrist as if he doesn't want to go, suggestions and opinions as to why he bit me?

Even though he did it I still llooovvveeee my little BTS. His name is Buddha. c:

  1. he might not like his enclouser so he is trying his best to stay out. maybe you should change a few things and he'll be fine.

  2. lizards are smarter than some people might think. he probably noticed you werent paying attention to him and bit u just 2 get your attention. like a love bite =]

  3. its not uncommon for baby reptiles to bite....no matter what type.

you may have startled him or he may have felt like he was in danger.

the more you handle him the more used to you he will get, and he will get used to sudden movements and loud noises.

your not doing anything wrong just keep handling him and dont let one bite scare you! it only hurts for a minute!

  4. He probably was stressed or didntrealize what was going on so in the heat ofthe moment he bit with babies there never clear so he might have been scaredthe whole timeandjust finally retaliated.

  5. IF you recentally fed him the small of food is on your hands. I did that with my snapping turtle once :(.....
